READ THIS These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can t test-play at the minute. Please don t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles-Related LP Lennon Live Peace w/Rare CAPITOL Mail-In, Ghost Capitol, No SW

Collectors know that for a short while, the Jacksonville plant offered to mail you a free 1970 calendar by filling out an enclosed card.

But what many collectors don t know or are aware of, but have never seen are Jacksonville copies that included the incredibly rare mail-in card to the Scranton plant, which had the Capitol logo on the card These cards are so very few and far between that only some of the reference books mention them.

Equally rare are the copies of the Live Peace album that uses the catalogue number without the SW price code prefix. Not sure why that happened. But a few of these were also pressed exclusively by the Jacksonville plant.

Of the two copies I ve owned, both had the ghost Capitol logo at the bottom of side two very faintly in pink/purple lettering. See photo. I ve only owned two of these since 1975. I sold the first one, and here s the other one offered.

This copy is still in the shrink.

Vinyl--- VG /VG . Both sides have those kinds of manufacturer s burns under the grooves that reflect like scratches, but are completely inaccessible to your stylus.

Side 1 has 3 very light scuffs that are non-feelable, and Side 2 has a lot of very short hairlines that are very light. 85 original shine overall.

Plates--- Z5/Z6. Letter O in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Cover--- NM. Still in shrink. Beautiful cover, NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the back cover, about one quarter down from the top. See photo.

Labels--- NM/NM. NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG . For some reason, these generic white inner sleeves yellowed easily over time for this title particularly. There may have been some chemical reaction to the inside of the cover. NO SEAM SPLITS, THOUGH.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A

If you ve never seen one of these Capitol logo cards before, take that as an indicator of their scarcity, since there were boxes and boxes of these found in both the Jacksonville and Scranton warehouses in the early 1980 s.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks

Note: All LP s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don t bid unless you re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks

Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks
