Item Description

Over the next few weeks and months I will be listing a quite lovely collection of Pink Floyd albums.

These will all be at least decent playing copies, but mostly will be of excellent quality, some even better than that. They will include some UK 1st pressings, and if not they will be extremely early pressings. All matrix/mother/stamper combinations will be listed so long as they are readable so you can tell exactly what you are bidding on. All gradings are by visual examination and by play-grading, strictly to record collector guidelines.

So here we have some of Floyds most iconic titles, spanning the 1970 s.
DARK SIDE OF THE MOON,
WISH YOU WERE HERE.
ANIMALS.
THE WALL.

This is a mix of tested and untested material and will be described in detail below.

DARK SIDE OF THE MOON:-
Matrices are A6 and B3, so a nice early pressing. Untested, but the vinyl surfaces are visually excellent. This should play well. The cover is actually from a first pressing as it is midnight blue in colour. Very solid with only minor wear, but has the original 2 stickers attached to the front as shown in the photos. Grades VG . The generic white inner is slightly discoloured and displays Made in Great Britain and patent number text. Slight wrinkling. Grades VG . Nice all round early copy.

WISH YOU WERE HERE:-
Matrices are A4 and B12, so another early 2nd pressing. Untested, but again, the vinyl surfaces look excellent visually. This should also play very well. The cover is showing signs of wear, and as is usually the case with these cream coloured covers, is a little grubby. Good and solid and grades VG. The artwork inner lyric inner is in decent order. Just starting to form a slit to 2 edges. Very clean and a decent example. Grades VG . Looks a very good all round copy.

ANIMALS:-
Matrices are A-2U and B-2U, so a UK 1st pressing. Has been fully play-graded. Overall not a bad listen, but does have some surface noise in places and the odd dust pop and isolated click. To be totally honest, the album plays about 50/50, half VG and half VG . My gradings are to Record Collector guidelines. The cover is a bit tatty. Has shelf-wear to top and bottom edges and spine. Although it is still very solid, I can grade no higher than G . The lyric inner sleeve has a slit to one edge. It is still very tidy though and grades VG .

THE WALL:-
Matrices are A-2U, B-2U, A-3U and B-3U, so a UK 1st pressing. The vinyl surfaces exhibit quite a few marks, although none actually feelable. It has not been tested, but from its visual appearance, I would expect it to play with some surface noise and quite probably some ticks/clicks/pops. Visual grade is VG-. The cover has the usual grubby appearance due to its light colour and has a small nick on the front lead edge. Inside the gatefold is a small part with paper loss and a message from Tim to his girlfriend for a Christmas present Very solid and grades VG-. The lyric inner sleeves are a bit of a mixed bag Both have the previous owners comments on some tracks written on them. One has no other damage, the other has a split down one side which has been repaired with tape. Nice and clean and grade VG. Not the best copy, but an early genuine UK 1st pressing.

So Pink Floyd at their best. The early 70 s was really the start of super stardom, and the run of albums from DSOTM in 1973 to The Wall in 1979 defined the decade.
A nice starter collection with a couple of quality albums in there too.

All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl s will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 1st class signed for postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me, sometimes less

I accept returns if I am notified as soon as possible after you receive the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.

I will post overseas, but not to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Postage within the EU is around 17. Worldwide postage is around 27. If these prices differ once I have packed and weighed them, I will refund the difference immediately. If it costs any more, I will stand the extra cost myself. Win win

If you have any questions, or require more photos, just let me know.

Many excellent Floyd titles still to be listed over 140 , so please keep an eye out for my future sales or add me as a favourite seller to get notifications of listing.

Good luck if you decide to bid.
