need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep
in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to
acquire the rare music we present each and every week.
Payment
is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after
auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in
detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times
delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
Overseas mail to some countries Italy, Russia, France, in particular
has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide
excellent service as is represented by our well over 22,000 positive feedback.
We use an ultrasonic KLAudio
machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully
packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of
3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad
inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
We
take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please
give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we
will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare

pick that click: I m Not Alone among other equally engaging original tunes. While still a hidden treasure to this day, the album is a real joy in repeated listening throughout.
The David from late 60s Los Angeles,
created a highly interesting album -- which 50 years onward, has now become a
top rated collection find
The
leadoff track, Another Lifetime blends Eastern, chant-like overtones
with Western arrangement motifs, in a vein composer/producer David
Axelrod would have been proud of.
Other tracks are often
characterized by driving rhythms played alongside oddly spaced melody
lines. Much of the material was all written and composed by
Warren Hansen is heavily backed by sweeping arrangements ala Love s Forever Changes
masterpiece coupled by the distinct settings of L.A. teen scene s
exuberance. The David s Warren Hansen also invented an instrument he called the Plasmatar, to provide the vibrant rasp featured on
Mirrors of Wood , which also contains some fine fuzz-tone effected
guitar.

The David immediately began planning an LP around songs written by Warren Hansen , which eventually included an elaborate arrangements by Gene Page .
Songwriter Warren Hansen s Plasmatar sounds a little like an electric cello and makes an appearance on these recordings adding quite an effect.
To capitalize on Another Day, Another Lifetime , The David was somewhat well promoted in the L.A. area, which included appearances at the 1968 Miss Teen Screen Magazine pageant at the Hollywood Palladium andthe local Rock and Roll TV documentary Gramophone To Groovy .
Even though the record received radio airtime on both sides of the U.S., it only sold modestly and the band s popularity soon began to wane, distracted by heavy world politics i.e. Vietnam war and the proliferation of psychedelic / heavy-rock gems of the the era, In other-words, some of the very best bands including unfortunately THE DAVID, went lost in the shuffle.
The David s album remains a wonderful piece of West Coast rock psychedelia.
While all the tracks are with heavy melodic-instrumentation, there are true standouts: Mirrors of Wood for instance is a treasure within the vaunted West Coast sound of the 60s. Noted as a far more polished professional Southern California style in particular.
True to the time, the impressive backing arrangements are featured prominently on most of the tracks many fans and critics have advised the arrangements and instrumentation comparable to Love s Forever Changes or the Door s Soft Parade. The lyrics tend to the dawning of a new age variety that vacillate between the romantic as in New to You, or Sweet December to the more studied Time M or Professor Crawford, in which Youth confronts the Old Way of Thinking . However, there is a certain precious sensibility and sweetness to the entire record keeping the symphonic elements and lyrics from becoming overbearing.
The David started life in 1965 as The Reasons , playing small gigs around the Los Angeles area.
