Item Description

Nicholas Greenwood Cold Cuts ORIGINAL UK LP 1973 MONSTER PROG PSYCH GRAIL RARE PLEASE NOTE I ACCEPT PAYPAL OR BANK TRANSFER ONLY FROM OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS FOR THIS ITEM, THANKS Here we have one of the most sought ater records of them all, from any genre.
One of the very last great, great records to come out of the enigmatic early UK progressive underground.
This monster slipped under the radar at the time and there can t have been more than a couple hundred copies presed, most of which probably went out to journalists.
Kingdom records are best known for releasing reggae and soul, adding even more mystery to this beautiful record created by former Crazy World of Arthur Brown bassist Nick Greenwood. The music is exceptional, way more so than the majority of other obscurities commanding high amounts of money.
I ve only ever seen one other UK copy up on eBay a few years ago and it went for a very high sum.
The only other time I ve seen one in the flesh was at Utrecht fair a few years ago, which went for 3,500 and wasn t at all in as good condition as this one.
French and Dutch copies are only fairly common but, as any collector will know, UK copies are almost mythical and extremely desirable.Good luck on this one Nicholas Greenwood - Cold Cuts Original UK LP 1973Kingdom Records, UK 1973.KVL 9002 Sleeve VG /EX- nice, solid sleeve with no real issues apart from some creasing and laminate cracking in a couple of spots.
Please study the photo s.Vinyl Side A is VG due to two light but visible hairlines see photo 16 .
They do not effect playback, however, there is noticeable crackle/static at the beginning of track 1, which calms down as the track gets louder.
Then there are two very small marks towards the end of track 3 which causes two clicks and the beginning of track 4, which causes 5 clicks.
Apart from that side one plays fine.
Side two is visually excellent with no marks, though to be fair, it s not a fantastic pressing..Labels EX.
Side two label has some of the gloss missing but this is to do with the pressing as opposed to damage.
Nice presentable copy, not mint, but WHEN are you ever going to see one of these babies again? Good luck happy bidding Please bid only of you intend to pay, thanks.
Please note, I always remove records from main sleeve when packing to avoid seam splits during trasportation, unless the record is still sealed.
I will happilly open the seal carefully at sellers request to remove from sleeve if desired.
I use cruciform LP mailers NOT envelopes with multiple stiffeners for added safety.
I have also started using corner protectors too :- Please also note that I will now only send records by Recorded, Airsure and International Signed for.
I will no longer send records without a tracking number, so please do not bid if you object to the shipping costs, thanks.
