SLAPP HAPPY Sort Of Polydor 2310-204 1972 Here s a terrific copy of one of the very rarest UK major label LPs of the early 70s.
Recorded in Germany, where the band was based, it s a lovely set of progressive and psychedelic pop, combining rock songs with plenty of wah-wah and fragile ballads, with the lovely vocals of Dagmar Krause and backing from members of Faust.
It was issued in Britain in tiny numbers, and promptly sank without trace.
Very few copies are known to exist.
COVERThe laminated soft card sleeve is in VG shape, with edge wear and a sticker pull top right.
Please note that UK covers do not exist for this album - all UK copies were issued in imported German sleeves.
VINYLThe disc is in terrific NM shape, and plays beautifully.
I am listening to it as I type, and it sounds great, with no surface noise at all.
It comes in what I assume is its original inner sleeve.
