This stereo reissue was manufactured in the US for export and sale in Japan, sometime between the time [l299509] assumed Blue Note licensing in 1966 and prior to the company's name change to [l8185] in 1973.「直輸入盤」on the obi translates to 'direct import version.' Albums included a Japanese insert, and were sealed with shrink wrap, with obi placed on top of wrapping.

According to discussions with London Jazz Collector this is a regular USA pressing (most probably release [r=7146898]) that has been sent to Japan with some additional packaging features, prior to the 1976 Toshiba EMI reissue ([r=11793674]).
