Item Description
Vinyl, , Trunk CoverLP Album Compilation Stereo
- Black rainbow label, without "subsidiary" rim text:
The Rainbow label was in use until 1969, but from mid-1968 with a written addition on the label Edge.
- Trunk cover:
After the catastrophe of [r1480760] the so-called butcher cover, this was released with a new and innocent cover, the so-called ''trunk cover''. At the first edition, the Butcher cover was simply glued over with the Trunk cover. This version is the first edition to be produced original with the trunk cover.
- Pressing-plant-number:
The "8 " stands for the Capitol press plant in Scranton, PA, when it comes to this release. This can cause confusion because the "8 " usually stands for Decca for Beatles releases. As far as I know, Decca was not involved in the "Yesterday ... and today " publications. The numbers were probably different in the individual LP. Scranton also used the number 3 for all mono-LP, and other numbers for all stereo LP (2, 12, 21).
- "I AM" triangle:
A machine stamped triangle with the initials IAM indicates that the record was pressed at the Scranton, Pennsylvania plant. "IAM" stood for the International Association of Machinists' union whose members worked at the Scranton plant. It first took effect on Scranton pressings around February, 1963.
- STEREO:
The LP is a sampler from the English LPs "HELP ," "Rubber Soul " and "REVOLVER ."
The US Lp appeared in June 1966, so 2 months rather than the "REVOLVER " in the UK.
Capitol has converted the monos of the 3 REVOLVER titles into fake stereo and brought them to the LP.
The English EMI has not yet been able to send stereo recordings, as the LP was not able to do so until August 1966.
It was due to appear in the UK and the stereo mixes had not yet been made.
On the club LP ST-8-2553, which appeared in 1969, all the titles were then in original stereo
To hear.
It was not until 1973 that the correct stereo recordings were on all rebookings of the "Yesterday ... and Today "
To hear.
