The material on the companion disc presents a portal to the time of the recording of Led Zeppelin.
It is a selection of works in progress, with rough mixes, backing tracks, alternate versions, and new material recorded during the 12 years of Led Zeppelin.

On "If It Keeps On Raining" there are two short dropouts and an unexpected fade-out and fade-in. These are audio issues that exist on the source material and are not flaws in the mastering or manufacturing process.
