Early UK issue, with a French contract pressing inside. Disc has an 'AREACEM' logo stamped in the deadwax.

Labels, sleeve and blue Island inner are all identical to and indistinguishable from the U.K. first issue copies pressed by E.M.I. (such as [r=5923698] and [r=1048994]) – the deadwax markings are the only discernible difference. The Areacem logo is incredibly small and near-impossible to make out without magnification. It's a small 'a' with 'AREACEM' in all caps below it; to the naked eye it looks like a scratched-out number or a small blemish.

This Areacem cut can be spotted at a glance – the side B deadwax is about twice as wide as the side A deadwax, whereas the EMI cut has roughly equal deadwax, about 1cm wide on both sides.

Released in a fully laminated gatefold sleeve with 'pink rim' labels.
Initial copies include an aqua blue polylined Island Records inner sleeve (Basing St. address).

Subtitled "... The Second Roxy Music Album" on artwork and labels.
