Charley Pride claims to be the happiest man alive, and I believe him. Charley has a wonderful home and family, lots of friends, and he is doing what he has always dreamed of doing - singing country music.

In just a little over a year he has become one of the top names in the country field, and I cannot think of anyone who deserves it more. When Charley is not singing country music, he is talking about it.

I became a Charley Pride fan the day I heard his hit The Snakes Crawl at Night. A few months later I met him in Nashville while he was recording. It was then that I realized what a great talent he is. While talking to Charley I learned that his life had been about the same as most guys in the business - listening to the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday night, idolizing the greats, and dreaming of the day when he would become a part of country music. Well, Charley’s day is here, and he is very much a part of country music.

There is not much of anything I need to say about this album. It speaks for itself, so I will just say this about Charley Pride - he is a great artist, “heck” of a good boy, and one of my best friends.
