"AL" & "ARC" in runouts denotes an [l512061] pressing.

Note that the 1st pressings of Allentown pressings have gatefold and cardboard cover, inner sleeve with photos and lyrics in light paper and shaped at the top at the opening, gold / tan label with a large white "E" at the top. In this edition "Doors" is written in silver color on the back cover.
The gold / tan label print, which characterizes some rare copies of this LP, is due to an anomaly, as Elektra started using the new red labels already from some catalog number. Some copies were pressed in the plant in Terre Haute, Indiana, recognizable by the presence of the letters CTH (Columbia's Terre Houte) or, like this edition, in that of Allentown Record Co. Inc., in Allentown, Pennsylvania (ARC and AL on the trail off of the two sides). Released in USA in July 1969 after "Waiting For The Sun" and before "Morrison Hotel", it reaches number 6 of the US charts and does not enter the UK charts where it was released in September of the same year.
