This is largely a reissue of the Blind Joe Death lp from 1959, however some portions have been re-recorded.

On the back cover the tracks for side 2 are listed first, followed by the tracks for side 1, and the track list is numbered 1 to 10.

Some copies may have a sticker on the front cover reading: "Newly Recorded in Magnificent Mono! Contains One Brief New Song”. This relates to the 1967 re-recordings of the entire album (plus 1 new track). The 1959/64 release listed here shouldn’t have this label, but quality control was never Takoma’s strong point.
