This original catalog number CS 9737 was assigned to the record in 1968 (the records with adjacent catalog numbers, CS 9736 and CS 9738, were issued in October and November of '68) but this record was not released until November 1969. By that time, the packaging had changed to a gatefold LP and the KCS catalog prefix indicated a retail price that was $1.00 higher than regular CS issues. Nearly all copies of the original cover were destroyed but some (quite likely ALL of the remaining 'apartment' covers) were sent by Columbia distribution overseas to US military bases for sale.
