This album was part of the DM ("drop-automatic") series of albums, which were designed for use with a turntable with a drop automatic mechanism.
Manual albums and albums for use with a slide automatic mechanism differed from the DM albums in the manner in which the sides were coupled.

Recorded February 28 & March 2, 1945 at the Manhattan Center, New York.
