2nd German pressing, approximately released from 1961 to 1967. Possibly repressed several times with stamper variations (2XRA 16-x, 2XRA 17-x, etc.).

Contains 8-page booklet, a.o. with the text of "4. Satz: Presto Allegro" and a text by Prof. Alfred Pellegrini vom 31.7.1951 about the reopening of the Festspielhaus Bayreuth after World War II with the 9th symphony. Very nice photographs of the orchestra (one of the winds, one of the strings with Mr. Furtwängler), probably during rehersals as some of the players wear lederhosen and the non-playing men look very relaxed.
