Item Description

Vinyl, , Blue Label
7" 45 RPM Single

Produced by Andrew Loog Oldham for Impact Sound.

This is a second pressing, not the first pressing. While early Rolling Stones 45s in Canada were pressed with blue labels, London Records of Canada had switched over to the brown pinwheel design for Rolling Stones’ singles with “The Last Time”/“Play with Fire” (London, L. 9741), released in March or April 1965, and it never appeared on the blue label. It is highly likely that the demand for the “Satisfaction” 45 was so high in the summer of 1965 that London ran out of brown pinwheel labels and pressed a small quantity of records, including “Satisfaction” and Marianne Faithfull’s “Summer Nights” (London L. 9780), on the outdated blue label to temporarily fill orders.
