DIRE STRAITS / LOVERBOY
King Biscuit Flower Hour Best Of The Biscuit # 374
Recorded live at Old Waldorf, San Francisco, CA, 31 March 1979
&
Vancouver Coliseum, Vancouver, BC, 3 August 1980
Original Airdate: 5 July 1981
1981 pre-FM Triple Vinyl LPs

A double-bill King Biscuit show with segments previously aired on radio stations across the U.S. The venues for each performance are not specifically mentioned by regular contributor and host Bill Minkin. He does, however, mention the cities for each show. A little investigating reveals that the Dire Straits portion was recorded at The Old Waldorf during their first tour of the States. The Loverboy segment was most likely recorded at the Vancouver Coliseum (later renamed the Pacific Coliseum) on 3 August 1980. Contains original commercial blocks and two sections of extended silence for local station announcements.
