Dark Side Of The Moon Genuine First PressUp for auction is a lovely example of Pink Floyd s iconic album Dark Side Of The Moon.This is a genuine first press with the solid blue triangle label and first press A2/B2 matrix numbers.
It comes with the original midnight blue cover which I have photographed against the cover of a later copy which is black, to illustrate that it is a genuine midnight blue cover as when seen on its own, the midnight blue cover can appear blacker than it is The cover is in pretty decent condition, although as can be seen from the photos has a reasonable amount of wear around the edges.
The two posters and two stickers are in unused condition and the stickers have the correct FasPrint and Fassion text on the rear.The vinyl record itself is in lovely condition.
There are some very faint hairlines/scratches, but you have to look closely to see them.
The labels are nice and clean with no writing e.t.c.
on them.I play tested this record on my Rega turntable through a Marantz amp and can report that the sound quality is superb.
There is some light background crackle on Breathe and a few faint clicks on us and them .
Apart from that the audio is excellent, needless to say there are no jumps, skips, pops, or any other intrusions to the outstanding listening pleasure offered by this superb and rare first press copy of The Floyds iconic masterpiece.All my records are packed in proper record mailers with a cardboard stiffener.U.K.
