Very Rare UK 1st Press complete with Correct early issued Garrod Lofthouse Matt Midnight Blue Gatefold Cover with promo sticker, Original black poly-lined inner sleeve with white lower print, 2 Original Posters with white border, 2 original night and day pyramid stickers and the very earliest 1st pressed vinyl with the solid blue labels All in SUPERB CONDITION

Most music lovers will be aware of this all time classic LP which has broken so many world records in sales, charts, popularity statistics etc etc. a personal favourite of mine This masterpiece was released in March 1973 but the band had played several numbers on the circuit in 1972 under the title Eclipse - A piece for assorted Lunatics A fantastic creation of Genius that deals with the burdons of everyday life that drive people to insanity

There are many releases of this album in just about every country but this is the holy-grail original UK 1st Pressing with the quickly withdrawn solid blue triangle label variant which was quickly re-worked to the transparant variant - due to the difficulty in reading the track listings This example carries the correct Matrix Nos A-2 / B-2 which are only found on the very 1st presses of this masterpiece

COVER

This is an original matt midnight blue Garrod Lofthouse gatefold cover, right-hand side opening. This cover has survived very well by most standards, it s not the most durable type of cover and most are extremely worn with storage / handling use / ring wear etc but this is clean and bright shape both inside and out. There are some very light storage wear marks but these are very minor and it looks better in the flesh than on the images there are no tears, stains or writing present and it still has the promo sticker attached, overall a very nice example, solid clean and very well cared for with nothing more than a couple of light bruises to the corners and odd crease EXCELLENT CONDITION

INNER

Original black poly-lined inner sleeve with the Patent and Made in Great Britain lower print, again this inner is in clean shape with nothing more to fault than some very light creasing from storage EXCELLENT CONDITION

POSTERS POSTCARDS

Both original posters are present and in unspoilt condition, no tears, tape marks or pin holes Original white border with catalogue number in the lower corner Very clean and bright with nothing more to fault than the original folds they come with NEAR MINT CONDITION

LABELS

Original earliest solid blue triangle both labels are in super clean condition with no stickers, writing, stains or wear to the centre hole there are some faint mis-aimed barely visible spindle traces but only visible on angled viewing in direct light. Overall a very clean and bright set NEAR MINT CONDITION

VINYL

Both sides still retain a deep rich glossy shine and look extremely clean and fresh with glass like playing surfaces with no immediate visible marks. Upon closer examination, under my halogen lamp, a few super weak surface hairs barely visible, it s very hard to see and harmless. This does not affect the sound quality, as all the tracks sound very clear and bright. There are no scratches, scuffs or stains that are visible on both sides. Tiny, barely visible crackle on quiter passes / in between tracks and Intro, but this wax, and so was on a new. No signs of wear grooves or surface irregularities. The sound is clean, bright, clear When listening to there is absolutely no distortion even at high volume. It trully is an excellent example look Visually Audibly NEAR MINT EXELENT
