Item Description

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Led Zeppelin 1 PLUM LABEL UK TURQUOISE MINT- VINYL/EX SLEEVE GREAT AUDIO RETURN YOUR SATISFACTION IS FULLY GUARANTEED OR YOUR MONEY IMMEDIATELY REFUNDED.
LED ZEPPELIN 1 This is a brilliant PLUM TURQUOISE 1st pressing of the classic first album from Led Zeppelin, from my own personal collection, purchased on the day of release.
Superb vinyl condition, and the audio return on this album is excellent quality.
I have critcally listened to, and appraised the album before listing and can report that on my turntable I heard just 5 very soft tics deep in the background at the onset of the quieter, slower track 2 on side1.
Once the tempo quickened after about 10 seconds there were no more heard.
On side 1, I noted 2 soft tics on the 3rd track.
Remember this is me being very critical.
It must be noted however that the album has not been played for a couple of decades so overall this is an atonishing audio return as dust always finds a way into the grooves and with a clean, these few soft sounding tics should vanish altogether.
Outside of this, I can report that on my turntable there was no background static or any distortion heard at all.
It was also silent between the tracks.
The music return on all tracks was just incredible and really it gets no better unless you own an unplayed copy and even then you would hear something after 45 years of storage.
SUPERHYPE LABEL with A1 / B1 matrix showing this is the EARLIEST PRESSING.
Of Note is that the TURQUOISE pressing of Zeppelin 1 has become seriously rare and highly collectable, and according to many traders virtually impossible to find in top condition, such as this one.

HOW MANY MORE TIMES The vinyl on this first pressed album on both sides has hardly been played and both sides are in near mint condition.
Under normal light conditions they look MINT.
It is only when I looked under direct sunlight, which is not the normal thing to do, did I see any fine swirl lines.
Hence, I dropped my personal grading of MINT to NR MINT.
In giving you a little history about the album, I can report: Led Zeppelin is the debut album by English rock band Led Zeppelin.
It was recorded in October 1968 at Olympic Studios in London and released on Atlantic Records on 12 January 1969 in the United States and 31 March in the United Kingdom.
Featuring integral contributions from each of the group s four musicians, the album established their fusion of blues and rock.
It also attracted a large and devoted following to the band Zeppelin s take on the emerging heavy metal sound endeared them to parts of the counterculture on both sides of the Atlantic.
Although the album first received negative reviews, it was commercially very successful, and critics have come to view it in a much more positive light.
In 2003, the album was ranked No.
29 on Rolling Stone magazine s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time it kept its rank when Rolling Stone updated the list in 2012 .
1 In 2004, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
2 In turning your attention to the AUDIO GRADING: As said above this brilliant album plays incredibly well for 45 years of age.
It is free of any loud pops and any distortion on my audio return.
The record plays with no surface sound during the tracks.
It has a brilliant audio return with just a few very very light tics which do not distract from the excellent return of this superb album.
It is just stunning clear audio.
Amazing for its age and a must own for all serious collectors of rare records.
The music plays with great clarity, and the vocals are crisp and clear.
The lack of any background noise on my audio return make this an outstanding pressing.
Graded NEAR MINT.
THE LABELS - NEAR MINT Both labels as can be seen are in excellent plus condition with the Warner Brothers / Jewel Music Publishing credit.
The PLUM labels have no marks or writing, and ANYspindle traces are difficult to see THE RECORD VISUAL GRADING This album in everyday light reveals a clean high shine glossy vinyl on both sides, showing this vinyl has hardly been played.
On a normal visual inspection the vinyl looks totally unmarked, however when seen directly under bright sunlight it does have some very fine sleeve removal marks, and a few light swirls and lines but they certainly have no effect on the audio return.
I think you would get the same from a newly pressed album, once it had been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times.
Remarkable for this album of 45 years of age Grade MINT-.
VINYL TESTED FOR WARPING: Upon visual inspection and on my turntable, I can report the album lies flat.
THE OUTER COVER The front has some light laminate spider crinkle on the right side.
The back shows a fine crease in the left corner but nothing to be concerned about.
Overall the cover is clean and very strong, as is the spine and back.
There are no seam splits or writing, and the corner tips are still sound.
The spine is strong and the text is clear and fully readable.
Overall this is sound original cover.
Grade VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT condition RARITY OF ALBUM This UK first pressed, plum, superhype labelled album, with A1 B1 matrix numbers in this type of condition is extremely rare.
Those that are normally listed on Ebay are often graded as very good, albeit with many audio problems and numerous scratches on the vinyl.
The cover is nortorious for corner and edge wear, but this cover is considered a far superior cover, and with a brilliant vinyl it just has to be a great investment, with the rarity value rising annually.
THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A MINT- FIRST PRESSING TURQUOISE COVER LED ZEPPELIN 1 PLUM LABELPlease note that I have been a serious collector of rare vinyl, since 1958 and I am recognised outside of Ebay for selling to collectors from the four corners of the the world.
I want to advise that any purchase made from me, comes with a full money back guarantee, inclusive of all postage costs, so the buyer does not lose any money in the transaction.
Also note, I have not started this off at a low price of say 99p to attract lots of bidders, I have started this off at realistic price for the serious collector/investor who appreciate the real value.
