Available is possibly the rarest Led Zeppelin LP ever - the first UK pressing of Led Zeppelin s debut album.
This was released in the UK by Atlantic 588171 in 1969.
This features the turquoise lettering on the front, credits on the interior labels include Superhype Music and Jewel Music, and the interior uncorrected matrix info reads 588 171 A//1 Followed by a light stamp that reads 1 1 8 These last 3 digits are lightly stamped.
I know for sure the first is a 1 and the last is an 8 , just can t positively identify the center digit on SIDE 1 and 588 171 B//1 FOLLOWED BY 1 S 4 once again the first and the last digits are clearly visible, the center digit is lightly pressed and is either S or an 8 on SIDE 2.
Indeed a Holy Grail of collector s items Thin laminated cardboard jacket is a solid VG , with no seam splits.
There is a thin gray border that runs on the bottom and right side on the front of the jacket as well as the top, bottom, and left side on the back of the jacket see photos .
There is ring wear and light scuffing on the front and back of the jacket.
There is light corner wear on all corners.
There is light creasing along the spine of the jacket.
There is a small crease in the top and bottom of the spine.
There is a small line of air underneath the laminate the runs along the spine on the back of the jacket.
Colors are still bright.
LP is VG , with several tiny faint scuffs on side 1.
Side 2 has several long light visible scuffs and a couple of tiny light scratches.
LP retains a nice luster.
Interior labels are clean and bright.
Includes original plastic lined Plastic Bags Ban Be Dangerous sleeve, as well as a new plastic lined inner sleeve that I put the LP into.
LP plays with some light surface noise crackle, tics, and a few pops and no skips.
The surface noise may be reduced with a professional clean.
