Led Zeppelin 1. Original/very Rare Uk 1st Vinyl Pressing. Turquoise Lettering.

Firstly, let me say I am not a dealer or avid collector although I am a music nut and a musician with a huge music library.
The description that follows probably doesn t conform to the collectors bible and I doubt that I use the correct terms but it is honest and plenty of photos are provided to back it up.

This album was bought BY ME on day one of release from the amazing Henry s Records in my home town of Southampton.
It has traveled with me ever since and still gets played regularly and loudly on my ageing Hi-Fi remember those? .
It plays well with no jumps or loud scratches.
After 45 years there is some surface noise but this is only really noticeable during quiet sections.
To this end there are a few surface scratches but nothing too drastic.
I d say the vinyl condition is reasonably good for it s age i.e.
it ain t mint It is not warped in any way The label IS in excellent condition as shown by the photos but some twit me wrote his name GEOFF on it which I appreciate will lower it s value slightly.
It s still a first pressing though and therefore extremely rare.
It has the 588171 no.
and the Superhype Music credits plus one Jewel Music credit on each side .
It has the A//1 and B//1 marks and the appropriate 588171 uncorrected matrix no.
Again, this is clear in several of the photos.
The MacNeill Press printed cover shows its age a bit but is in pretty good condition.
There are a few creases see photos and the laminate has lifted in places along the spine NOT on the front and back, however but the spine text is clearly readable.
I won t bother you with a track listing or history of Led Zeppelin as I would imagine that you are aware of all that information if you are after this rare item.
This is the real deal.
It s provenance is immaculate.
It is a record that has been listened to countless times and loved by a real music fan.....me.
This record changed my life for the better as it made me take up the guitar.
I am not selling it lightly....
but I might be able to get closer to that PRS that I have always promised myself I have also decided to sell lots of my old vinyl...
look out for Led Zep 2 and Led Zep 3 1st pressings along with original Gentle Giant and King Crimson vinyl.
I will post it securely.

I wanted to give a more accurate description of the vinyl condition after another listen on a friend s system, hence the apparent double post.
