WOW! What an INCREDIBLE FIND!
An OFFICIAL "PROMO" release from  UNITED ARTISTS!

Beatles LP-12" (Vinyl) PROMOTIONAL
"A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" Open-End Interview Disc.
VERY RARE! Issued by UNITED ARTISTS in JULY 1964
GORGEOUS VINYL PLAY SURFACE
Comes with original "AUDIODISCS" sleeve.
Exceptional!

EXTREMELY RARE. Only a limited number (probably less than 200) of these were ever pressed!
Since there were never any official records kept indicating how many of these were physically
distributed and destroyed by the Disc Jockeys they were sent to (ONLY in specific major markets)
no one is certain how many have actually survived worldwide in today's collector's market. Most
importantly, what condition are the surviving discs in today? When these discs were being handled
by DJs, it is quite evident today, that in 1964 no one had ever given any thought to the possibility
that one day they might become highly sought after collectiblesBut one thing is certain. You'll be
forever hard pressed to find another one of these with such a CLEAN SHINY VINYL PLAY
SURFACE or for that matter, in ANY CONDITION!

This is 50+ YEAR OLD PROMO 12" VINYL RECORD was produced by UNITED ARTISTS who also produced the
film "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT". The UA catalog number is SP-2359 as stated above. The VINYL is in remarkably
beautiful shiny condition retaining it's original luster. The LABELS are both NM as evidenced by photos posted.
The RARE ORIGINAL SLEEVE from "AUDIODISCS" is also included, which itself is extremely difficult to locate
in this day and age and hardly ever found with these records now after a half century. Normally left trashed
or discarded by the DJs of the time, this one is a BEAUTIFUL PRESERVED example of an extremely limited
PROMOTIONAL RECORD which was pressed in very limited quantities as stated herein and has remained
in wonderful condition.

PLAY TESTED:  This vinyl record's play surfaces are beautifully preserved in their original luster; not perfect, but pretty close.
They have also been PLAY TESTED and both sides play wonderfully with undisturbed sound clarity even with a very slight vinyl
warp that is actually only noticeable when spinning on a turntable with play totally unaffected. It's always been our policy to be as fair
and honest as we can possibly be to any potential buyer. The best policy is to always provide a complete description and also as many
detailed photos as possibleThe good news is that for those who feel the need, potential solutions always exist. We had brought this to
the attention of someone with experience in such matters and he had stated that this is a matter with a remedy when handled properly
if so desired and that this particular condition, was quite common when it came to many of the promotional vinyls of the time due to
the specific type of materials utilized. And since we are not experts in trying to alter the conditional of such items, we felt that due to it's
undisturbed play, why tamper with it, or better put, "IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT". Here, our attitude is "IT AIN'T REALLY
BROKE"But we are not the buyer who's willing to spend serious money to purchase such a unique item, so we certainly understand
the need for a vinyl solution if a buyer requires oneBut if you wish to purchase this AS IS, and you feel more comfortable bringing it
to the attention of someone you may feel more at ease with, simply let us know when buying it and we'll make SPECIAL FINANCIAL
ALLOWANCESWhat does this really mean in terms of DOLLARS & CENTS to a buyer? Whatever price this may ultimately sell for,
we're still quite flexible and will allow any buyer, a NEGOTIABLE DISCOUNT . In any case, it is important to always keep in mind,
that this overall piece is still a very beautiful example of a unique and limited promotional item of it's time. So, don't  miss out!
This is truly an important part of  BEATLES RECORDING HISTORY!

Matrix Numbers are:  SP-2359 (Side 1) and SP-2360 (Side 2)

It's IMPORTANT TO MENTION that during the 1960s play surfaces on these Vinyl PROMO
records were often quite hammered by most Disc Jockeys, but not this one! VERY BEAUTIFUL!

Aside from the earlier commercially released and more familiar "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT"
Soundtrack LP, UNITED ARTISTS prepared these types of vinyl records afterwards, strictly
for the sole purpose of promoting the 1964 film here in the USA. These PROMO discs are now
considered to be extremely RARE and quite collectible for a number of reasons. First, they were
PRESSED IN EXTREMELY LIMITED QUANTITIES and distributed ONLY to some selected RADIO
STATIONS and MOVIE THEATERS in major markets. Second, due to the fact that these records
were only manufactured for the sole purpose of promoting the movie, DJs and Theater owners
routinely and unfortunately discarded most of these very scarce and unique pieces of recording
history, once the movie was released, never realizing how collectible they may someday become.

Open-End interview records enabled DJs to give listeners the impression that they were actually
conducting "exclusive" interviews with THE BEATLES when in fact this was simply an illusion.
This was a process that with the use of scripted statements and questions along with moments of
silence, created the illusion that allowed the Radio personalities to make one think that actual
personal interviews were being conducted then and there. This was a technique commonly used
by all record companies of the day in the same manner. Here, UNITED ARTISTS prepared
this unique package containing a SPECIAL HALF HOUR OPEN-ENDED INTERVIEW

SIDE 1 contains an OPEN-END INTERVIEW mixed with SONGS & COMMERCIALS promoting
the movie. SIDE 2 contains only an INTERVIEW WITH NO  MUSIC or COMMERCIALS. The disc
was issued in an "AUDIODISCS" light brown inner sleeve w/ RED PRINT (INCLUDED)placed in
a plain white unlabeled rigid jacket (INCLUDED)

What is the value of this record? You can throw out all price guides when it comes to rare items
like this. These PROMOS are NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANYWHERE especially in as nice
condition as this one is in and we have priced it accordingly!

A Tremendous find for any serious BEATLE collector!
EXTREMELY RARE!

Thanks for watching.
INSURANCE:  We do not typically provide insurance to any item due to the fact that this can amount to
significant added cost. However, this added service is available to any buyer requesting it prior to invoicing.
If items are not insured and are received damaged, immediately make the shipper aware of the damage.
Once the item is packaged, inspected by, and leaves the seller, one can only hope that it is handled with care
which is why insurance is always a good idea (if affordable and available in your country).
Grading "VINYL" records can at times be a bit difficult and is not an exact science since it is
based upon someone's opinion. Since opinions can differ, we want all buyers to know that
whenever a purchase is made and the item is received, if you feel that our listed grading (by
seasoned professionals) differs from what you feel it should be, ALWAYS contact us FIRST
before filing a claim with ebayAll items are inspected prior to packaging to insure that our
description is accurate. However, we're not perfect and once in a while, items with hard to
detect defects, can slip through the cracks, therefore friendly dialogue between buyer and
seller is always the best remedy to seeking any satisfactory solution. We will always make
an attempt to achieve 100% customer satisfaction whenever possible. Remember that if
you are not happy, we have not done our job! Thank you for visiting our site!

It is important to point out that when sellers on ebay set a price for any item,
many factors are considered, one of which is the fact that the SELLER FEE can
be up to 10% of the Sell Price.  So, when you think that the price listed might
be higher than you, may have anticipated, please keep this added cost in mind.
Thank you for watching!

ALL ITEMS ARE PROFESSIONALLY PACKAGED!

REGARDING OUR PREVIOUS "NO RETURN" POLICY NOW ALTERED:

Our "RETURN" policy has changed. In every auction, we describe each item in great detail and also post
several explicit photos which illustrate all aspects of the listing. As professionals and as experts on records
specifically by THE BEATLES , we feel that unless you can point out any feature that indicates the item is
either NOT AUTHENTICNOT PROPERLY DESCRIBED, or is DAMAGED, you will now have 24 HOURS
from time of receipt to examine it and RETURN IT. It had been suggested by some potential buyers that if
they bought an item such as this, they may still feel the need for a "SECOND OPINION"; or "ADDITIONAL
AUTHENTICATION" by shipping it to others. Since we're in the business of "AUTHENTICATING" records,
what would be the purpose for this? The photos and description provide adequate information for anyone to
determine exactly what it is they are buying. Sending to others will not change any of its characteristics. Also
in our opinion, based upon our own previous experience, the more people who handle it, re-packaged it and
ship it all over the map, the more chances there are for damage or even becoming lost.

IF ANYONE WISHES TO GET THE OPINION OF A THIRD PARTY, WE OFFER TO SEND AS MANY
PHOTOGRAPHS AS DESIRED TO ANYONE. IF THEY CAN'T TELL FROM PHOTOGRAPHS WHAT IT
IS THEY ARE LOOKING AT, THEN WE HAVE TO QUESTION THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERTISE.

So here's our offer with respect to RETURNS. Prior to your buying, we'll give you every chance to ask as
many questions as you wish and also request additional photos. Once your questions are answered and photos
are viewed, any knowledgeable buyer should certainly have enough of an idea of what you are buying. We have to
assume that anyone attempting to buy this item, is knowledgeable enough on features which would determine its
authenticity. Once it has been established that you understand what you're buying and make the purchase, we'll ship
it to you. When you receive it you will have 24 HOURS as stated above to examine it or return it, ONLY if you can
show that it is either not AUTHENTIC, DAMAGED, or NOT AS DESCRIBEDYou must contact us regarding any
discrepancy IMMEDIATELY. The 24 HOUR WINDOW guarantees we the seller that the item will only remain in
your hands and will NOT travel elsewhere, risking potential damage. Once the 24-HOUR PERIOD ends, you will
own it. It is our belief that one whole day in the hands of anyone with even some knowledge of what a FAKE might
look like, is certainly enough time.

NOTE:  For over 50 YEARS our reputation worldwide regarding the authentication of records by THE BEATLES
has been unquestioned. Our descriptions are detailed. Our photos clearly illustrate the item's characteristics! If there
are any doubts, feel free to ask as many questions as necessary or request additional photos. Any so-called "EXPERT"
