Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon Lp Solid Blue Triangle A2/b2 Rare First Press

This is the very rare original UK first press of The Dark Side of The Moon released in 1973 on Harvest Records.
It is the only pressing with the solid blue triangle on the labels and this one has both the original posters and stickers.
Matrix numbers A2 / B2 Stampers LA 2 LD 1 The vinyl does have various fine hairlines but there are no deep feelable scratches at all.
I would say the majority of the fine hairlines have been caused by record removal from the black polylined sleeve.
There are a couple of fine scratches on Side One and 4/5 on Side Two but overall this is definitely one of the better first pressings I have seen.
I grade honestly and my feedback is testament to that and perhaps I grade too harshly sometimes.
Grading is very much a personal thing but for 41 years old this is a very good first pressing that any discerning fan would be proud of.
The Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold is in excellent condition and is one of the best I have seen.
It has the midnight blue cover of course and has no writing on it at all.
There is hardly any wear at all on this iconic cover it is that good.
If I am being ultra critical there is minor shelf wear on the bottom two corners and a very small mark on the inside and the slightest of wear on the opening edge but other than that this is probably one of the best midnight blue gatefolds that you will find.
The first front opening edge was originally sealed but has since become unstuck.
It retains a strong clean spine and the inside of the gatefold is superb.
The original die-cut black polylined inner sleeve is also included with the patent numbers 1125555/1072844 and Made in Great Britain in silver at the bottom.
This one is in excellent condition with no splits or tears, just mild creasing.
The black Harvest labels with the solid blue prism are in excellent condition.
The text around the top edge of the label says - The Gramophone Co.
Ltd.
All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved and around the bottom edge - Made in Gt.
Britain Unauthorised public performance broadcasting and copying of this record prohibited.
As stated this first A2/B2 first press comes complete with the two posters and two stickers and they are all in excellent condition.
There were three types of stickers issued and these ones have the tan backing paper with FasPrint Permanent and Crack Back Patented on the paper with 45 degree angled diagonal brown stripes.
Side One I would grade as EX- Side Two is VG The Garrod Lofthouse cover is Ex The original black polylined sleeve is Ex The posters are Near Mint The stickers are Near Mint- The labels are Ex Any questions please feel free to ask.
