Pink Floyd Lp Dark Side Of The Moon Original Solid Blue Triangle 1st Pressing Ex

This is stunning example of the original solid blue triangle Dark Side of the Moon LP.
Matrix numbers, Side One SHVL 804 A2 with a letter C stamped at 2 o Clock Matrix numbers, Side Two SHVL 804 B2 with the letters AP stamped at 6 o Clock I have played this copy once all the way through, using a high quality Linn moving coil cartridge.
I am astonished in the detail and sound quality of this pressing.
I can confidently grade this as EX, as the stylus touches the record there is no surface noise at all not even in the groves between tracks.
You just get the music in all of its glory.
Visually the record is in pristine condition their is not a mark on it.
The labels are in immaculate condition with no spindle marks.
However you can see if you look very closely in the photo of Side One, two very feint lines at seven and ten o Clock.
This is obviously not wear, it must be how it left the factory.
The original poly lined die cut black bag has the silver lettering for Patent.
The cover is in superb condition, it has the first pressing blue sleeve with the purple title sticker, the sticker is adhered firmly to the cover with clean edges and no rub marks.
It is made from a single piece of card with the only seam being along the top edge on the inside.
The original pressing came with one of three variant sleeves, this copy has both its left and right hand edges open.
The posters and stickers in the left hand pocket and the disk in the right hand.
I can confidently grade the cover as EX, there is no ring wear or tears, no fading.
There are very small scuff marks on the bottom of the spine, over all its stunning.
The two posters look as though they have never been opened, they have definatley never been hung they are both EX.
The stickers both have the PERMANENT legend on the serrated peel off strips.
The only floor in this whole package is the blue sticker the top right hand corner has a couple of ridges, it looks like the sticker has fallen in the spine and as the gate fold was closed the corner was bent.
This is the best copy I have ever seen and most definately the best i have ever heard.
If you are looking for an archive copy this could well be the best one you will ever realistically obtain.It is fabulous.
