CARAVAN - Same Verve Forecast SVLP.6011, UK 1969
One of THE holy grails of the 60ies UK prog / psych scene - the debut album from this Canterbury legends, recorded in October 1968 and released in January 1969 - a classic in this scene, an amalgam of dreamy psychedelic tracks, like the fantastic Magic Man and early prog numbers like the 9 minute Where But For Caravan Would I .....
Here as UK orignal pressing on the Verve Forecast label WITHOUT sold in the UK on label a few very initial pressing had this, I ve been told - the same story as on the first EDGAR BROUGHTON BAND I ve also listed . Comes with front laminated flipback pillar cover - made by Garrod Lofthouse Ltd. and A1 / B1 matrix ending.........
The record is in very good vg condition, showing numerous thin hairlines / paper scuffs, some longer hairlines and surface marks - but NO deep marks or deep scratches. Side 1 plays with occasionally surface cracklings here and there NOT in a loud or disturbing way - mostly hearable between the tracks or on a few quiet parts, Side 2 plays very fine -would say excellent
The cover is also in very good vg condition, showing some wear on corners and tiny wear on seams, spine is fully intact. Has some crinkles on the laminated front cover and the flipbacks, partly ringwear on back cover, a few stains.... see scan
