In the frenzy of launching the first ever LP by this iconic band, that would eventually go on to be the biggest and best in the world, someone at Decca mistakenly used an earlier take of Tell Me on the master instead of the re-recording that we all know and love though in my opinion, this earlier version is probably better This was noticed JUST after pressing had begun and was IMMEDIATELY repressed with the correct 4:06 take, resulting in this being THE very rarest commercially released Stones LP out there And not only that, this record is the ONLY time this version of Tell Me has EVER been issued
Tracklist : Route 66, I Just Want To Make Love To You, Honest I Do, I Need You Baby, Now I ve Got A Witness Like Uncle Phil and Uncle Gene , Little By Little, I m A King Bee, Carol, Tell Me You re Coming Back , Can I Get A Witness, You Can Make It If You Try, and Walking The Dog.

Trivia : This was the first band who had the balls to not put their name on the front of their debut LP

Labels :
Classic UK 1st Press red ridged Unboxed Mona Decca labels Both sides are GOOD with minimal signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever Just has light spindle marking and wear from general use over the years GREAT for a 52 year old record Both must grade overall as Good
Record : Visual -
Spectacular Original UK 1st Press Vinyl Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks GREAT for it s age with NO nasty deep scratches whatsoever, and NO deep groove-breaking vicious scuffs whatsoever The only blemishes are just a few light scuff marks, a few light hairlines and age marks here and there with just one small groove line on Carol causes just one very brief barely noticeable hiss , and just some of the usual light wispy sleeve traces only visible in direct angled light from general use and where it has sat or been removed from it s cover over the years On a modern, thin LP, these marks would possibly hinder play, but because this is such an ultra thick quality 1st pressing, it plays fine with no trouble AT ALL Used, but definitely BRILLIANT for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall at the least as Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Record : Audio -
Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY with fantastic mono blast and clarity It really sounds incredible with NO hops, skips OR sticks Only like pretty much ALL records has just the very slightest crackle on the scarcest of occasions and only a small amount of ultra light ticks on the very rarestof occasions, and just the MEREST TOUCH of low level static in the rarest few and far between places such as on the run in grooves and between some tracks, but that s truly about it The vast, vast, majority of the music is TRULY ultra clear - It really does mostly play with a CD-like near black silence, but with that depth, bass, warmth and clarity you can only get from UK 1st Press vinyl EVEN most of the quiet sections Absolutely ESSENTIAL ASTONISHING for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall audibly at the very least as Excellent minus graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Sleeve :
Original UK 1964 1st press front laminated flipback MacNeill sleeve complete with original inner IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP This one is NOT, and looks BRILLIANT, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves NO writing, NO graffiti, NO seam splits, NO really bad marks AT ALL, and still ultra strong and solid after all these years This sleeve only has a few signs of very mild ageing such as just some light creasing and a touch of a record imprint, only some slight ageing to the unlaminated back such as just a hint of dulling and a touch of light dusting to the flipback tips truly minimal and absolutely NOTHING drastic whatsoever - NO nasty stains, NO ugly grubbiness, NO writing OR graffiti, and NO coffee cup marks whatsoever , a touch of denting to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP s have, and POSSIBLY just to be sure one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all And that s truly about it I tend to bring it down by emphasizing the negatives, but this remains a brilliant sleeve the iconic pictures look AWESOME , and a TRUE rarity to find one as presentable as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and 100 readable Must grade overall as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Summary : A used but absolutely FANTASTIC sounding example of this OUTSTANDINGLY RARE unique piece of Stones history - the OUTRAGEOUSLY RARE WITHDRAWN 2:52 TELL ME DEMO MONA CREDIT Mono classic 1964 UK 1st Press LP UNBELIEVABLY HARD TO FIND Hard to find in ANY condition, but SERIOUSLY RARE as truly sonically AWESOME as this YOU WILL SURELY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don t miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60 s/70 s music history Bid now

I ve realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system occasionally with a or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i m having real trouble deciding , so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100 perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps
