I am trying to raise as much money as I can to give my seven year old daughter the best birthday ever following the surgery she has had in recent months. This is a full colour, two panel Christmas Card measuring approx A3 size 40.5cms x 29cms 16 x12 hard drawn and painted, multi media artwork by the legendary Rudimentary Peni Primal Screamer and guitarist.
Panel One the front measuring 29.5cms X 21cms, features a hand tinted version of the iconic Rudimentary foetus image stuck on with tape still intact despite age and the hand scribed text: Sanity Claws. There AlienT No Sanity Claws: I Am More Popular Than JC Black ChristMass and signed Nicholas Blinko.
Panel Two the back measuring 29.5cms X 20cms, features a wonderfully sinister illustration of the disgraced Santa Claus who made the newspapers at the time this artwork was created by telling children that Santa didn t exist and God was a lie The sanguine blotches of red on his jacket are raised, thick poster paint while the text reads: Old St. Nick O Lass Happy Christmas From Abbot Slangley and a parody of The Sun No Fun newspaper with the headline Pulpit Anti-Papists Must Go and the title of this work: Christmas Card From Hell Co.
The condition is absolutely mint perfect as it has been carefully kept inside an envelope and a record sleeve since Nick sent me it.
For anyone wondering about the provenance of this remarkable piece: I was the drummer of The Apostles in the early 1980s and, more recently, with Rudimentary Peni s Sister Band Part One, who played most of our gigs with Peni in addition to Nick Blinko financing our debut 1982 EP and providing cover art for our posthumous album so you can rest assured of the guarantee this item is 100 original.
