Stamped with release date 19 Aug 1966.
This is the last third , and rarest of Bowie s Pye singles.
By then Pye didn t promote this as much as the first 2, so this promo is more scarce than first two Pye promos.
I was told this on good authority, because my record comes from a ex Pye employee.
I was also told the record was graded by a contact at Record Collector who said the vinyl on both sides is MINT and the A side label is MINT.
The B side label has a small blob over part of the catalogue number, so this was only graded as EX.
This looks like something they may have happened at pressing/printing and not as a result of negligence.
And I agree with this grading.
Therefore I guess the overall grade is Near Mint.
It looks and sounds incredible.
It is easily the best copy I have ever seen, anywhere.
Any tiny blemishes you see on a couple of the photos are not on the record itself - they re from my camera.
I bought it as an unplayed record and have only played it a handful of times.
It really does sound fantastic - especially on my Linn LP12 Sondeck.
It has been well cared for and always stored in a cool dark place.
Standard 60s Pye sleeve, also mint There is a reserve.
But you ll get is a collectable that even fussy people like me will be happy with.
