This psych classic sold barely anything as a Mono stereo was the new standard in 67 and had a very, very small run before being reissued on the black and white EMI label. This album is SURELY one of the best of all time. It has to be the best psychedelia i ve ever heard. If you ve never listened to it before, it s guaranteed to blow your mind It certainly showed me just what sort of things are possible with sound. As you probably know, this original Mono Blue Black Columbia 1967 UK Press is impossibly rare, even more so considering worldwide Pink Floyd collectors have snapped up most of them - so when one hits the market, it really is a moment to behold, let alone one with such AWESOME audio
Easily the greatest thing Pink Floyd ever did with every song bar one written by the genius of Syd Barrett, one of music s most notorious acid casualty s. We should be grateful that he wrote this masterpiece, one of THE greatest albums of all time. This original Mono mix is extra special. Mostly mixed by Syd, you ve GOT to hear the Ever So High bit in Flaming in it s Mono form, it sounds truly incredible with Roger Waters Bass riff covered in echo There s a number of other differences from the stereo version too such as a growling organ at the start of Interstellar Overdrive, and if you listen carefully to the mono mix of Pow R. Toc H. ,you can hear extra vocals such as a stoned Roger Waters howling with laughter Syd was a true, true genius, and this was his genius album with a little help from his friends of course . An absolute timeless classic psychedelic rock LP.

Labels :
Classic UK KT blue black Columbia labels Both sides are OUTSTANDING with NO real signs of age, NO graffiti, and NO writing OR tears whatsoever Just has a small amount of ultra light spindle marks which suggests that this has barely had much play at all FANTASTIC for a 50 year old record Both must grade overall at least as Excellent
Record : Visual -
Spectacular Original 1967 UK 1st Press Vinyl Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks BRILLIANT with NO really nasty scratches, groovewear, or nasty deep scuffs whatsoever The only blemishes are just some light wispy sleeve traces, a few mild hairlines and age marks, and just a small amount of cosmetic non-sounding and unfeelable scuffs only visible in direct angled light mostly caused from where it has sat or been removed from it s cover over the years Of course, none of these ULTRA light blemishes really interfere with play AT ALL thanks to the deeply pressed quality BRILLIANT for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall at the least as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Record : Audio -
Thankfully, it plays AMAZINGLY with fantastic mono blast and clarity It really sounds incredible with NO hisses, hops, distortion, skips OR sticks Only like pretty much ALL records has only a small amount of ultra light ticks here and there on very rare occasions, and possibly just the MEREST TOUCH of low level static in the rarest few and far between places such as on the run in grooves and between some tracks, but that s truly about it The vast, vast, majority of the music is TRULY crystal clear - It really does play with a CD-like near 100 black silence, but with that bass, depth, clarity and warmth you can only get from original UK vinyl EVEN the vast majority of the quiet sections Absolutely ESSENTIAL ASTONISHING for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall audibly at the least as Excellent graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Sleeve :
Original UK 1967 front laminated flipback iconic E.J Day sleeve complete with original unsplit advertisement inner IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn, worn, and stained due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP This one is NOT, and looks INCREDIBLE, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves NO tears, NO writing OR graffiti, NO nasty stains, NO ringwear, NO seam wear whatsoever, NO splits, NO bad marks AT ALL, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years Only has some truly minimal signs of ageing such as just a miniscule amount of ultra light creases, only a tiny amount of TRULY minimal signs of ageing on the unbelievably unaged unlaminated back such as just the slightest dusting to the flipback tips being extremely picky here - unbelievably close to new, NO staining OR grubbiness whatsoever - UNBELIEVABLE , a mere touch of denting to one or two of the four corners which virtually ALL vintage sleeves have, and POSSIBLY just to be sure one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all And that s truly about it An utterly MAGNIFICENT sleeve, and a TRUE impossibility to find one as incredible as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one This is EASILY one the best i ve EVER seen and will surely ever see You simply won t believe that this is five whole decades old Near new It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unworn, unsplit, and 100 readable Must grade overall at the very least as Excellent graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me

I ve realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system occasionally with a or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i m having real trouble deciding , so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100 perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps
