P-1B RED INNER SLEEVE ALMOST UNHEARD OF INSERT Background From Genesis to Revelation was issued in a black sleeve with its title Inscribed in gothic gold on the top left hand side.
With little else to go by, the record shops stacked the LP in the religious sections therefore its initial sales tally was an unbelievably low 650 copies, If that was not rare enough 500 of these were in STEREO format as this had become the preferred format by the very end of the sixties.
This means that amazingly only 150 MONO pressings were sold making this one of the most scarce records in existence.
Condition Today I am offering probably one of the finest examples left in the world, the vinyl and labels look almost mint with no signs of any play to the vinyl surfaces and immaculate playback.
This is a true archive example with the vinyl looking as the day it was pressed, it really is incredible.
Along with this amazing record comes the original red mono Decca inner sleeve and separate lyric insert which have both been preserved perfectly.
Finally the outer sleeve.
This dark black laminated sleeve has a wonderful glossy shine with deep gold lettering and apart from a couple of inevitable creases is in outstanding condition and has got to graded as EXCELLENT at least.
Having done extensive research in my opinion this is the finest examples ever to be sold at auction.
