Item Description

Welcome to 20th Century Collectables Quality vinyl for the discerning collector The Beatles Please Please Me Genuine 1963 1st issue UK mono pressing 1st mother on the Black Gold Parlophone Label, with Dick James label credits, catalogue number PMC 1202.
20th century collectables is proud to offer this stunning investment grade copy of a UK 1st pressing on the famous black gold label.
The copy has wonderful labels and stunning looking vinyl and has had only a minimal amount of play.
Now becoming increasingly rare in this condition this record has great investment potential unlike most copies now being offered for auction which usually have a multitude of scratches and gouges on them.
Don t miss out Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N XEX 422-1N Stamper codes: 1/T 1/H 1st Mother One of the earliest copies pressed Please check out the pictures and read on for further details:- CONDITION Disc Labels: EXCELLENT The all important black gold labels on this UK 1st pressing are truly superb with hardly any evidence of spindle trails or wear.
Side 2 has ridged labels which I believe is from one of the earliest EMI presses used in the pressing plant in Hayes Middlesex.
Side 1 carries the MT tax code.
Visual: EXCELLENT A stunning looking disc and exceptionally rare in this condition.
There are no obvious marks on the vinyl, and the record has clearly been looked after and cherished by its previous owner.
On close inspection there are the occasional faint micro marks which appear and disappear depending on the way the record is held or angled but even when viewed under a strong halogen desklight nothing much more is revealed other than whispy sleeve removal marks.
Black gold monos in this stunning condition are becoming extremely difficult to find, so don t miss out.
The heavy duty disc lies 100 flat on the turntable.
Audio: EXCELLENT Superb sounding audio which retains all of its original power and dynamism so associated with these early pressings.
There is some light static and surface noise in places but the music signals are unworn and undistorted.
There are no loud pops or ticks and the record does not jump or stick.
Cover EXCELLENT- The record comes in its original E J Day GOLD cover.
Other than some minor damage to the bottom right hand corner the front panel is in exceptional condition and still retains its original high gloss laminate sheen which is completely unworn.
There is some damage along the extreme bottom edge of the sleeve towards the opening edge and a tiny area of the flipback which has become detached on the bottom right hand corner but other than this the back panel is remarkably fresh and undamaged for its age.
There is no writing or drawing to any part of the sleeve nor any tape stains or marks.
The spine is in superb unworn condition with the text Please Please Me The Beatles undamaged and clearly visible.
Inner-sleeve EXCELLENT Clean correct and fresh.
Any questions please ask PLEASE NOTE: 1st class next day Special Delivery to UK addresses will be 8.50 GBP.
