Hortense Ellis / Hortense Alton 7 Reggae/Ska 45rpm on Studio 1 label from circa 1963.
I ll Come Softly b/w I m In Love.
Matrices are: WIRL-CSD-01 WIRL-CSD-02.
The original Jamaican pressing of this was on yellow wax and had the same matrices.
It is documented on Discogs.
However what we have here for sale is an undocumented multi-color vinyl variant of this release.
Same matrices as the yellow version.
The most likely explanation is that at the end of the pressing run some plant employee mixed in some other colors to finish the order.
Who knows how many were made like this a handful? and how many still exist? Maybe this one only? Doing some research I could not find ANY vintage Studio 1 pressings in multi-color vinyl at all.
Colored vinyl yes, red, yellow, blue, etc.
But no multi-color variants which is why I suspect this record here is an anomaly.
Vinyl: visually VG .
I have pro-cleaned and play graded this single and it plays VG .
