Item Description

Mark Lanegan - The Winding Sheet 1990, limited edition red colored vinyl LP VG.
The red vinyl edition is very rare and was limited to 1,000 copies.
The Winding Sheet is the debut studio album by alternative rock artist Mark Lanegan.
It was released on May 1, 1990 on Sub Pop.
The album was Lanegan s first solo work, and is notable in its departure from the characteristic sound of Screaming Trees, the band he fronted from 1985 until 2000.
The album was produced by Mike Johnson, who also co-wrote many of the songs, and Jack Endino.
In I Am the Wolf: Lyrics and Writings, Lanegan recalls Endino constantly assuring me that what we were doing was not terrible and notes that the songs were born of sadness and uncertainty with my circumstances at the time: relationships, money problems, alcohol, depression, addiction, and so on.
Highlights include Mockingbirds, Ugly Sunday and the haunting Wild Flowers.
On Down in the Dark good friend Kurt Cobain sings while on the folk classic Where Did You Sleep Last Night Cobain contributes guitar and vocals and Krist Novoselic plays bass.
Nirvana would later also cover Where Did You Sleep Last Night on their Unplugged album.
Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl has called The Winding Sheet one of the best albums of all time and has said that it was a huge influence on Nirvana s 1993 MTV Unplugged concert.
This record is pre-owned in very good condition.
The cardboard jacket is still mostly covered by the original plastic wrap.
The plastic wrap is open on the side that the record comes out of.
I bought this from a record store in the mid-90 s.
The people at the record store wrote the original price and record label on the front of the plastic wrap.
The jacket has some very minor shelf wear.
The insert looks really good.
The record itself looks great.
I don t see any noticeable scratches, scuffs, or marks of any kind.
I only ever played this record a handful of times over the years and always did my best to be careful with my records.
Please see photos.
All records will be shipped in cardboard mailers made specifically for records.
They will be padded with two layers of cardboard, with the record sandwiched in-between.
12 inch records will also have two layers of bubble wrap.
This vinyl record is pre-owned.
I am not a skilled professional record grader, but I do my best to accurately describe the condition.
Please look at all of the attached photos.
It is difficult to get a really good photo of the black surface of a record so some wear, scratches, or marks may not be visible in the photos.
These records are mostly older some are 50 years old and will not be in mint condition.
Even with the records that look really good you will probably still hear crackles and pops when playing the record.
Please see photos.
Sold as is.
No returns.
Will be mailed with USPS and will include tracking.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you.
