LEE MORGAN The Cooker Blue Note BLP 1578 Mono LP 1st Pressing Deep Groove RVG Plastylite 1958
You re bidding on a Rare 1st Pressing Mono LP of the classic LEE MORGAN album The Cooker issued by Blue
Note Records BLP 1578 in March 1958. This Record has all the right earmarks of a true 1st Pressing ie: Deep
Groove Labels with the correct address 47 West 63rd . NYC, Eccentric run-out grooves with a machine stamped
P for Plastylite RVG for Rudy Van Gelder along with hand etched BN-LP-1578-A or B and 9M. The Cover has
the correct address on the bottom: 47 West 63rd St., New York 23 The LP is in Excellent condition with just a few
surface lines or marks, No real scratches and No groove wear distortion. It does play with a small bit of crackle
from time to time and 3 or 4 pops but basically, it sounds fantastic. The Cover is in VG condition with small rub
marks in the corners, light ring wear on the front and some dirt on the back along with a small pen ink line under
the H F in High Fidelity and 2 sets of the initials MR stamped above the words Blue Note.
