Item Description

PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT NM IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED i.e.
I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER .
OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS NM- IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS-RARE MISPRESSING of this mythical, privately pressed LP from Portage, IN back in 1975 with BOTH side 1 labels.
Notice how in photos 3 4 the center hole is aligned differently.
One of these has never come up for auction.
Only around 12 copies of this LP in total have come up for sale according to Popsike but a mispressing has never surfaced until now.
I put this LP up for sale years ago for a set price but took it down shortly after for fear of seller s remorse as this is most likely a one-of-a-kind item and I simply loved the music still do .
LP side A is VG/VG with a small around an inch and a half scratch at the end that can be lightly felt but is only audible during the quiet 30 second intro to the 3rd track and a few rotations near the end.
Side B is easily VG, close to VG , with a tiny mark around 1/3 of the way through the 1st song that can be heard moderately for around 4 or 5 revolutions and one surface scratch on the 2nd track that can be very lightly felt but is barely audible.
Plays fantastically.
Cover is a nice VG with beautiful edges NO splits and NO seams , a small light stain in the top left hand corner on the front only and a hint of ring.
I ve owned this LP for many years and decided it s finally time to pass it on to someone equally or more passionate about the music and collecting.
Only 300 of these LPs were pressed and it s presumed only a fraction of them exist today.
No one really knows how many mispressings ever existed or still exist today but, suffice to say, it s a fraction of a fraction.
Almost certainly a one-of-a-kind item.
If you ve never seen it before you won t see it again.
A mispressing of a prog holy grail.
The absolute rarest of the rare.
This is the kind of item that will show up in the Most Wanted feature of Record Collector Magazine someday for a small fortune so don t miss it.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT SEALED NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG : VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USEVG : AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGSGOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY.
