1ST PRINT COVER WITH THE 3-LINE CREDITS ON THE BACK
Very early Monophonic 1st pressing copy of The Beatles A Hard Day s Night with a still sealed vinyl and original unused movie ticket. 1st print cardboard cover, one of a few to be printed in the summer of 1964, with an original very rare hype sticker at the center on the front promoting the presence of George Martin s This Boy single and the song And I Love Her reading Includes Ringo s Theme This Boy and I Love Her . 1st misprint cover variation with the credits written in 3 lines on the back crediting only This Boy to Maclen Music alone while the other songs are co-credited to Unart Music. The back cover corresponds to the 1st pressing mis-titling the I ll Cry Instead track as I Cry Instead . The album comes with an original unused 9 x 3 movie ticket from the premier screening of A Hard Day s Night film at Embassy Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday, August 12, 1964. The single person ticket remains unused and shows the Fab Four cut-out along the contour. The Do Not Detach removable part is still attached to the ticket with perforation. The vinyl pressed at the Pitman pressing plant by Columbia Records has been remaining sealed for 58 years in an original perforated inner baggy. Original 1st print black United Artists misprint colored circles Mono labels with the catalog number UAL-3366 and characteristic Columbia Records font style along with the main Pitman s 2.75 diameter pressing ring. The Columbia label printers never corrected the I Cry Instead error. The clear baggy allows for reading not only the full matrix numbers but also the Pitman, NJ P identifier on both sides: Side 1 - UAL3366A-1G 1 o P Side 2 - UAL3366B - 1F 1 o P. The cover is graded as Excellent only having some very light shelf wear and light scuffing on the corners and edges. The sealed inner baggy containing the vinyl is in great condition with the perforation being fully intact and without having any splits. The unused movie ticket is Near Mint. This record set comes from my personal collection. Throughout all this time I ve never seen another sealed vinyl of A Hard s Day Night with the cover having a hype sticker.
