Item Description Velvet Underground Nico S/T ACETATEThis anomalous and presumably one-of-a-kind acetate of The Velvet Underground Nico s seminal 1967 self-titled album was discovered several years ago in South London in the collection of a deceased record and stamp collector, alongside many rare rock and folk records of the era. European Son track B5 captures an apparent recording mishap in which the master reel seems to have been inadvertently halted and then sped up. At this point, the transfer must have been aborted altogether, leaving an extended run-out groove at the end of this side of the acetate. There is an additional brief snippet of music from European Son in the form of a locked groove at the end of the run-out groove. Mixes of the other tracks appear to be the same as the commercial release.

These may include sleeve scuffs, light scratches, or other superficial marks. VG Same imperfections found on VG records but in slightly greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will typically not have any scratches that are deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. VG- A number of visible imperfections the presence of a considerable number of light scratches will force a VG- grade, as will the presence of significant isolated defects such as scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. G Pervasive imperfections of varying degrees including both light scratches and scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. G and G- are used to indicate stronger and weaker copies within this range.
