Item Description

Artist: Buddy HollyTitle: That ll Be the Day Label/Number: Decca DL-8707 M Jacket condition: G Record condition: EXNotes: The cover shows some wear with some ring wear and some seam and corner wear. The top seam is split for about 5 inches at the opening with a three pieces of tape holding it closed on the top right corner. The spine has some fraying and has lost some a few pieces of the slick. The front cover photo and titles are in nice shape but there is a small tear on the top right that has been touched up with blue marker. There is also a tape tear on the lower right side that has also been touched up , probably with pastels to match with the cover color scheme. The back cover is in pretty nice condition with some light ring wear and a few tiny stains toward the bottom. See photos As noted, the labels are original black and silver versions and are in nice condition with a just a tiny bit of graying around the hole on both sides. The vinyl is bright and glossy and is close to NM. I m going to grade it down to a conservative EX because there are a couple of hard to see light surface scuffs and there are a few visible light scratches in the runoff area on both sides. As an added bonus the record is still contained in its original Decca inner sleeve. Not surprisingly, I did play this one and it plays great.Grading: Grading is usually only visual for VG or better items, although if time allows I may play to verify the quality of a pressing or just to hear the music. VG items are usually only listed if they are fairly hard-to-find items and are always play graded. Regardless of the grade, if I do play the LP, I note the results in the item description. I use Goldmine standards with Ebay s EX grade added for items NOT QUITE up to NM. Please read the notes above as I try to note anything that might influence the grading one way or another. I try to be conservative and grade as though I were buying the record and hope my feedback speaks well for my grading. Mono M or Stereo S is noted after catalog number. Don t hesitate to e-mail questions. Mailing and costs: Domestic shipping is via USPS, media mail with delivery confirmation. I ship in cardboard mailers made specifically for records with additional cardboard pads for added protection. Shipping and handling charges are a flat 5.00 for the first LP and .50 per additional LP.
Overseas shipping is via USPS First Class Mail International. Cost will be as calculated based upon destination.
I always mail in a poly sleeve with the record outside the jacket. If there s an original inner sleeve I also remove the record from that and put it in a plain sleeve for mailing. That way, there are no seam splits on either the jacket or the sleeve due to any handling in the mail.
I m always happy to combine shipping costs for multiple purchases.
