This is an original not a modern reissue VG to EX vinyl copy of this private folk rock psych LP with Xian and counterculture overtones from Chicago, Illinois.
NOTE: Only 300 original copies were pressed.
NOTE: ACID ARCHIVES review: OMEGA Michigan Avenue by Scott Loopden Bubrig With 12 original folk rock songs this album is very enjoyable and memorable.
Every song is anchored with 12-string guitar, bass, drums and accented with additional guitars, recorder, mandolin, banjo, sitar, harmonica and various effects .
Side 1 s Echoes of Emptiness is a pleasant tune that meanders in a nice dreamy way contemplating one s destiny, bridged by a haunting blend of soprano recorder and crude sitar, giving the song an otherworldly essence .
Side two opens with How Long Will It Be , the heaviest track on the album, a three guitar attack with some of the strangest fuzz guitar ever heard - it sounds like a cheap organ plugged into a cheap effects box.
Inasmuch , with Penny Cathey as guest lead vocalist, should appeal to all female folk-psych records collectors .
Some may find this album a tad amateurish in production and performance but after a few listens if should become evident the arrangements are just about all great, with sharp counterculture lyrics, decent musicianship and well-crafted songs.
Unlike many private folk rock records that have to rely solely on a high charm factor to be accepted amongst collectors, Omega have both quality and charm in their favor .

Heavy, thick vinyl 160 grams is VG to EX shiny bright, light surface marks some light crackles.
There is some faint writing on label side 2.
