Up for auction is an Authentic Beatles Yesterday and Today Jim Hansen Peeled Third State Mono Butcher LP released from the RARER WEST COAST Manufacuring facility. Making this an exceptional high grade and even rarer specimen, is the corresponding intact slick. I was told it melted off like butter revealing the original image underneath with the dot matrix printing vivid and almost all intact.
I have owned this collectable Beatles memorabilia piece since purchasing it on Ebay around 2008. It has remained in my collection ever since and is now up for auction. I included an image of the original feedback history in one of the auction photos.
This specimen is absolutely stunning and retains all its vibrant color and dot matrixing detailing, along with the very rare and well-preserved corresponding slick.
Infact, when I received the item, I immediately assumed I had been ripped off it was so perfect, yet I was so naive. I placed a call immediately to the seller One Man Band Records who assured me it was authentic and took the time to explain the subtle signs to confirm its Third State Nature. Rest assured it is authentic and a top JIM HANSEN PEEL from the West Coast Plant as identified by the RIAA 6 printing on the back lower corner. I was advised to take note of the very fine swirls of glue residue noticeable with simple magnification. He explained how the covers material cardboard becomes hardened due to the chemical peeling process, and that is why there is a slight warping to the cover as well. It was also pointed out how the peeled slick matched the cover. I thanked him for his forensic analysis and was delighted with my new purchase. NOW IT IS TIME FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO ENJOY......
The record VINYL is in near mint condition. I don t officially grade records, but I can say that the vinyl retains all its glossy appeal and only shows one to two very faint wispy marks on either side only visible under incandescent lighting. The labels appear NEAR MINT as well. The inner sleeve has a 3 slit in the center of it which very common. I have taken a photo to illustrate.
THIS IS A MASTER PEICE JIM HANSEN WORK OF RESTORATIVE ART FEATURING A CHEMICLE PEELED BUTCHER COVER. THE ONLY HINT OF OBVIOUS VISIBLE PEELING IS A SMALL ABRASION or PEELED ROUND SPOT ISOLATED TO THE BACK CORNER AND IT IS CLEARLY VISABLE AND ILLUSTRATED IN THE PHOTOS. IT DOES NOT INTRUDE ONTO THE FRONT OF THE COVER SO IT WILL FRAME UP CLEAN AND FLAWLESS WITH THE
WELL-PRESERVED SLICK.
IT COMES WITH SOME EXTRA HISTORIC POP LITERATURE AND A FASCIMELE OF THE ORIGINAL RECALL LETTER.
