detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times
delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
Overseas mail to some countries Italy, Russia, France, in particular
has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide
excellent service as is represented by our well over 21,000 positive feedback.
We use an ultrasonic KLAudio
machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully
packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of
3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad
inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.

SILVERBEARD 4 TIMES SOUND RAZING SILBERBART .. / ............................................... / ..
GERMANY PHILIPS RECORDS -6305 095 STEREO
Ohhh yeah The sought 1971 Original
ESSENTIAL 1971 ORIGINAL LP RARITY emerged from the beginnings of the now fabled KRAUTROCK prog rock scene... Silberbart or better translating to SILVERBEARD were from Germany s North Sea.
Formed in 1969 by guitarist / vocalist Hajo Teschner was a member of The Tonics, a beatrock band were far too constrained, leading the guitarist to pursue a more adventurous route in the wide-open freedom of early 70 s Krautrock years.
So after combining forces with percussionist Gerd B ker and bassist Peter Bahrens the newly founded SILBERBART resorted to playing a wilder extended version of Jimi Hendrix Experience ...far over-the-top even louder and as well unrestrained. One of the explosive guitar trios that were never more crazed, we re talking the Silverbeard 4 Times Sound Razing LP released ONLY in Germany 1971-- THIS IS IT
SILVERBEARD unfolded into mysteries composing their all-out early 70s avant-garde majesty. The POWER trio remained anchored into heavy psych rock antics of the past/future when in process created one of the stranger albums EVER, including their early years in the Krautrock scene.
While never really finding an audience outside of Northern Germany, SILVERBEARD nevertheless quickly gained a reputation as one of the loudest bands in the world for their bold HEAVY guitar fuzzed-up adrenaline distortion perfectly accented by a heavy percussive bombast and boldly leading bass lines accenting the band s unique fascination of atonality between their instruments.
SILVERBEARD recorded its one and only album
4 TIMES SOUND RAZING in April 1971 live in the studio and despite their understanding in only recording demos yet in reality, they were recording THIS four track extended freak-out heavy psych album. These over-the-top heavy psych-rock demons were based on early 70s blues rock and heaviness rock to come 10 years later -yet- found no problem in engaging in complete musical meltdowns, free-form dive-bombs into the farthest extremes of psychedelic heavy rock EVER recorded Trips and bizarre acid atmosphere based chaos that generated atonal clusters of psychedelia bound together sole by rhythmic drive of bass drums.

4 TIMES SOUND RAZING begins as a blues inspired hard rock opening Chub Chub Cherry, introducing HEAVY oddball insertions into their rocked-out opening but they don t really let their freak flags fly until the second and longest track Brain Brain which at 16 minutes plus, beginning as an airy atmospheric psychedelic groove reflecting in a throwback to the Summer of Love - but only after a few verses and choruses the track totally freaks-out making a hairpin spin into a high tempo chaotic swirls of bombastic heavy psych not unlike a herd of elephants stomping over a concert of rock freaks - then suddenly regaining control, channeling into a more familiar Amon Duul II styled Krautrock jam. The track continues to jump all over the place...
Before the listener knows it, 10 minutes God emerges amusing enough a heavy psychedelic violent rocker probably is the most normal sounding track UNTIL going left
field into warm fuzzy guitar sequences, Ginger Baker sounding drums,
Led
Zeppelin-esque guitar solos, Guru Guru heavy
feedback and free-form jamming added for good measure. While Teschner s
vocals are fairly reserved compared to
the crazy instrumental workouts, at times as in the middle of God he
hurls some blood curdling screams out of the speakers
enough to scare the bejesus out of the listener in the sudden sonic exorcism The track then totally derails and starts to
zigzaging all over the place. Ending with an assault of heavy
guitar chords, bluesy slides and atonal riffs running amok.
Head Tear of the Drunken Sun ends the album and saves the weirdest for last It immediately takes that honor as it enters with a series of ferocious guitar slides and then enters blues rock territory with Teschner doing his best gruff Creedence Clearwater . While the guitar riffs begin more like something off of Deep Purple s In Rock complete with sizzling screeching LOUD guitar, eventually breaking down into ethereal Comus like freak-folk with echoey clean guitars and spooky haunting sounds in tandem including what sounds like chimes or bells of some sort. The freakiness builds in intensity with guitar heaviness sliding and whizzing like the LSD has kicked in. Is this Can s Tago Mago? Wow. Sure sounds like it but this is more metalized oriented. After completely switching gears back into stable heavy rock, the track finishes in the bluesy rock style which it began with.
4 TIMES SOUD RAZING is a wild ride for sure and utterly unique for its simultaneous intensity on two completely different levels. While many bands were pushing the heaviness and others were going full force into psychedelic, SILVERBEARD somehow found a way to incorporate both aspects into their sound without sounding forced. It really does sound like they dropped some acid before the recording however the lysergic influences only intermittently affect their playing . Far too weird for even the Gentle Giant, Yes, Genesis prog-heads of the era, Sikverbeaard didn t last long at all and broke up soon after.
Silverbeards 4 Times Sound Razing remains a must for any adventurous Krautheads who love both the heavy rock strains as well as the psychedelic trippy injections. You can think of this as the most psychedelic band that took the late 60s along for the ride and in many ways lives up to the potential of the sounds that were never fully realized all told is both delicious and demented yet ridiculously fun audio rollercoaster at that Head Tear of the Drunken Sun ends the album and saves the weirdest for last It immediately takes that honor as it enters with a series of ferocious guitar slides and then enters blues rock territory with Teschner doing his best gruff Creedence Clearwater .
