Copy 45The Five Crowns were an R B vocal group formed in Harlem in the early 50s Although they never hit it big or charted nationally under their own name, they regularly charted in New York and were stars in Harlem.
Their late-50s incarnation, which included Ben E.
King, replaced the entire Drifters group, and went on to score numerous hits under the Drifters banner.This is a very rare, hard to find Promo Copy of a Five Crowns record released in 1959 on the obscure De Besth label out of Hammond, Indiana.

Copy 1959 VGRare Copy - Don t Pass It By GRADING: primarily grade my records visually, based on the Goldsmith rating system of Mint, Near Mint, Very Good Plus, Very Good, Good, and Poor.
