Original 1st US Tower Records T-5093 Mono pressing promotional issue factory sealed copy of Pink Floyd s debut album The Piper At The Gates of Dawn whose commercial release occurred on October 21st, 1967. Perhaps, this is the only surviving factory sealed example of the promo release. Finding a commercial Mono copy of this album in a factory sealed condition is simply impossible, not to even mention the promotional copy. 1st print Kaleidoscope cover with a large t Tower logo and T-5093 catalog number at the top right corner on the front. The back cover is identical to the commercial release, but contains PROMOTIONAL RECORDS ink rubber stamp at the center top. This copy was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Scranton, PA with the 2 factory identifier located at the bottom right corner of the back cover. It s guaranteed that this promotional issue contains the orange 1st print Tower Records labels with the T-5093 catalog number. Tower Records altered the songs on the album from the original British release to include their single See Emily Play whose promotional 45 RPM 7 issue with a rare picture sleeve you can also find currently listed at our auction.
Incredible promotional factory sealed copy in stunning Mint Minus condition. The top and bottom right corner only have a very light push-in. The shrink wrap is fully intact and doesn t have any tears, splits or missing pieces, containing the original breathe holes, two on the front and one on the back cover.
