READ THIS These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can t test-play at the minute. Please don t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1967 Sgt. Pepper First Pressing Jax TITLE ON ONE LINE BOTH SIDES, SCARY SCARCE

I ve seen three of these since 1975. By far and away, most Jacksonville copies have the title on two lines on both labels, followed by the band name. Some rarer copies have the title on one line on the Side 1 label only, and then on two lines on the Side 2 label.

This far rarer copy has the entire title on one line on both labels, followed by the band name. If you think you can find one of these with ease, start looking now. I d guess that conservatively speaking, 95 of Jacksonville copies aren t this one.

You have one week from the 18th before this auction ends to locate one.

Bet you can t.

Vinyl--- VG /NM. This copy looks very nearly unplayed on both sides with the unfortunate exceptions of two light hairlines and a scuff on Side 2, which is feelable. However I did take a couple of this week s records to a friend s house for test play, and this one tracks silently across the entire scuff

Plates--- B16/A15. Machine-Stamped Letter O in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Cover--- VG . Presents very well. But there is light to moderate ringwear to the back cover. No NEMS text at the bottom spine from the back cover makes this cover a first-printed cover. All covers from the second pressing onward had that text.

Gatefold--- VG. Also still presents well, but there is light to moderate dirtwear around the edges, as well as a two-inch center seam split.

INSERT--- EX. One of the better first-printed inserts I ve seen. All colors are darker and richer, which were brightened from the second pressing onward.

NO FINGER DIVOTS. But there is moderate record outdent on both sides. Back is lightly and uniformly yellowed, but certainly isn t brown around the edges, like most of these first-printed inserts got.

Pretty darned nice insert.

Labels--- NM/NM. Both labels look freshly printed from 1967. Full color, NO SPINDLE MARKS.

With a Little Help. I ve so far not found a copy with the song listed as A Little Help. But then again, I ve only seen three of these since 1975. Sold one.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG. All three seams have splits a few inches long. Sleeve has yellowed. A replacement inner sleeve would be appropriate.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A

Seriously. Good luck if you go for this one. It will be years before you come across another one of these, I promise.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks

Note: All LP s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don t bid unless you re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks

Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks
