In my research, I can find very little reference to the existence of this particular release by SPFHS/Patty Lombard. Certainly there s some great information out there on the school s music program, which I would encourage seeking out as the releases which came out of it are soulful and unique. This album is certainly no exception.
I don t have any sound samples, and couldn t find any online. I would assume it s out there somewhere to be found, but perhaps we need a little more magical mystery in the 21st century.
Well arranged and executed tunes:::proper soulful folk male and female , light/not corny expressive jazzy interludes, exceptional and vibey electric guitar, and Take A Puff has it s own laid-backgroove, but you probably already knew that just from the title.
This is a tough one to let go of.
Vinyl:::I m going to call it VG ONLY because there s a couple of light marks on Side I, and a weird scuff running the length of Side II, which I tested carefully and doesn t effect the play whatsoever. To my ears, it plays EX, with LIGHT surface noise here and there, but certainly nothing overwhelming. The labels show some spindle marks, pretty much only visible upon scrutiny.
Sleeve:::I have to call it VG again, as some of the back cardboard sleeve has ripped off, and the spine is not perfect, other than it s VERY sound, see pics.
