Rare, sought after 1972 UK Vertigo swirl 1st press prog gem - a superlative copy in every way

I normally hesitate and think long and hard before grading the condition of a vinyl record as near mint but in this case I have no hesitation whatsoever : unquestionably near mint NM condition vinyl Flat and retaining it s original jet black lacquered sheen and even with close scrutiny under a bright light not a single blemish can be identified. Not even the usual one or two paper scuff lines. Simply amazing The labels are similarly near mint NM with all text and the iconic Vertigo swirl remaining perfectly intact - there are just a couple of very small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each side. Clearly, this is a record that has been meticulously looked after and played only a few times. Excellent plus EX condition non-laminated outer gatefold sleeve : impossible to fault with the single exception of a very small scuff mark on the inside of the gatefold just under the text Side 1 see photo - apart from this minor blemish, perfect No edge scuffing, no creasing, no open edge fraying, perfect 90 degree corners with no rubbing, no unwanted writing, crisp cardboard sleeve, and all colours/art work/photos/text remaining perfectly intact...just about as perfect as the day this record was first purchased some 53 years ago - amazing And, as expected, near mint NM stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, distortion or background interference. You might come across just a couple of random and split second hints of some very, very background crackle during an intermission but it is only static and no more than you would expect from a brand new record. Every track is a terrific listen with great tone and clarity throughout. Flawless Comes with excellent plus EX condition original Vertigo swirl inner sleeve with no side splits, no edge fraying, no age discolouration towards, and only the most minor of a small area of surface creasing in one corner. Note, however, that the date on the inner sleeve 1070 41 does not correspond to the original UK release of this record so it is possible that this inner comes from an alternative 1970 Vertigo swirl release. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.
Simply put there cannot be many if any at all better condition copies of this rare 1972 UK Vertigo swirl prog gem than this. Truly an archive copy

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
