This is the rare first pressing STEREO issue of the Kinks finest album. Critically acclaimed at the time but sold very poorly, this is now considered their masterpiece.
First issue powder blue labels are excellent and show little play wear.
The vinyl grades EX- with a mark over the first two tracks and slightly into the beginning of the third. This mark is silent except for a handful of very light, well hidden under the music, clicks. They are not continual and are isolated to one of two at any one time. The occasional clicks are so low level they can easily be missed. It really does play excellent in those parts. Even Last of the Steam Powered Trains and Phenomenal Cat play quiet and without noise.
It s very hard to get a good copy of this album.
The cover grades VG with an area of laminate wear to the bottom center of the cover, and some wear to the edges. The spine is, amazingly, in great condition. This is one of the better sleeves you will find. The vinyl surface is stunning except for the one light mark mentioned above and also shown in pictures . The album sounds wonderful with very little surface noise at all, except for a few low level clicks.
