Item Description

HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY ONE OFF WEDNESDAY NIGHT AUCTIONS ENDING LATE WEDNESDAY 12TH NOVEMBER On offer here is a VERY rare LP especially in this condition by Fire called The Magic Shoemaker and is an ORIGINAL UK 1970 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Pye label THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPs ON THE PYE LABEL AND ONE OF THE ALL TIME RAREST UK PROG/PSYCH LPs EVER MADE - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE BACK IN 1970 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES WERE EVER SOLD - AND THIS IS ONE LP WHICH YOU ARE ALMOST NEVER LIKELY TO EVER SEE AGAIN NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION OVERALL PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW - AND IS STILL A VERY DECENT EXAMPLE INDEED, THAT HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS PYE LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS GARROD LOFTHOUSE FULLY TEXTURED COVER THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY This is the ORIGINAL Pye UK 1st Pressing from 1970 and is in GREAT condition The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.
The Cat.
No is NSPL 18343 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Pye label see picture and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing there were NO Monos .
The record labels are in SUPERB condition see pictures with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable.
This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, only 2 or 3 VERY light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL JUST PRESSED LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW It is also GREAT to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual The record plays with NO pops, NO sticking, a few VERY brief surface sounds at the beginning of 1 track, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL As is well documented and expected on this LP - there is some background on this record as it was never pressed on the best vinyl when it was manufactured.
Though as the music is VERY loud indeed, this limited to the run on grooves, gaps and very VERY quietest parts of the music ONLY of which there isnt much - as most of this LP is very VERY loud indeed The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either The record must grade Very Good if not better Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to Brillant The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition The ORIGINAL 1st Press Garrod Lofthouse FULLY Textured Cover is still 100 solid and still very VERY presentable indeed The cover has NO rips, NO tears, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear NOT through the colour , NO splits, only a few VERY light creases cover is VERY flat looking , barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, and NO writing The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL Even the textured back of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL virtually NONE , NO sticker tears, and NO writing However, the cover front does show signs of restoration to the right hand side, and the previous owner has also laminated the cover in the past to protect it fully.
Of course some might think this is a bad thing to do? But actually it will certainly protect the cover PERFECTLY in the future as it has in the past and means it can be handled without fear of any damage Of course, everyone would wish for a Mint cover on this LP - but as only a few hundred copies were ever made, this is wholely unrealistic And even though this cover has had some restoration in the past, and has been fully laminated by a previous owner - it is certainly a very VERY presentable cover indeed and still looks GREAT As taking a look at my pictures will certainly show you The cover must grade Good PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed if not better - but actually looks generally better than this, and as this LP is almost NEVER seen, and the chances of an upgrade so remote - this is one LP I would be very VERY happy to have in my collection THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY --ooOOoo-- Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items I always try my very best to describe everything exactly - PLEASE REMEMBER to contact with me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem.
Thanks again - Graham XXXRecords.
