I am pleased to offer for sale this exceptional copy of the Pink Floyd s eighth studio album, The Dark Side of The Moon.
As will be detailed below, the record is a true UK first pressing which features the highly prized solid blue triangle Harvest labels that were only available with the short-lived first press.
This is a record that I love listening to and in my opinion the A2 / B2 pressing is by far THE premier pressing to listen to. If you haven t heard one, you should. Whilst the recording presented below is representative of the audio quality it by no means replaces the experience of listening to the record on your own system. The sleeve is the original midnight blue tinged gatefold sleeve. This copy comes with the 68mm purple TDSOTM sticker attached to the front side - this was reduced in size for later copies.
The A2 / B2 matrix numbers identify the record as a true UK first pressing. The mother codes 1 / 2 suggest that the record was pressed by the first second mother plates. Consequently, the playback is simply superb I ve taken a recording of this copy, available below, for you to listen to before you decide to purchase.
The album is complete with all original inners both posters, both stickers, and the original black, die-cut, patents pending inner sleeve.

Vinyl: EXCELLENT
Labels: EXCELLENT -
The labels are bright and clean. A small number of spindle marks can be seen on either side. The side 2 label has 2 short splits around the spindle hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT -
The record maintains superb deep-gloss playing surfaces. In bright daylight a small number of light surface marks are visible to both sides. None can be felt. Underneath the glare of a halogen desk lamp a number of hairline paper scuffs can be seen alongside a sparkling rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT

As can be heard in the audio clips, the heavy-weight vinyl sounds superb. As is often the case, there is a little background noise that can be heard on the exceptionally quiet lead-ins to both sides. Other than this there is very little to say. The record plays with the distinction that one expects from the A2/B2 pressing. The bass is punchy, the vocals are crisp and clear and the instrumentation is well defined.
Please note, there is no skip on Money.
Sleeve: EXCELLENT
The iconic sleeve looks fantastic. All four sides are clean and retain the original deep colours. There is a small section of rubbing to the reverse. The corners are strong. The spine is without wear. The top and bottom edges are without wear. Would not look out of place framed and on the wall.
Inners: EXCELLENT
The original inner sleeve is in great condition. The polythene insert has come unstuck from one side. Both posters and pictures are in fantastic condition.
Additional Details:
Before the audio test, the vinyl was cleaned first by an Okki Nokki vacuum cleaner using L art du Son cleaning solution , then an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner is performed before a final rinse with distilled water.
After cleaning, the vinyl is housed inside a brand new mobile fidelity audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve.
The album will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
